Alcohol spray used on a soccer club’s mentor to kill coronavirus left its driver not able to consider players and workers to an away match.

Oxford United had to modify at their resort and journey to their sport at Accrington Stanley by auto.

It is believed some of the spray in the air was picked up by a machine that stops the mentor driver starting off the motor vehicle if they have drunk alcohol.

The club began the match at the bottom of League A person on Saturday.

Karl Robinson, the club’s head mentor, instructed BBC Radio Oxford prior to the match: “Our mentor has just broken down so we have just had to get transformed at the resort and make our way.
