A mom-to-be has been given an surprising letter from her deceased grandad 22 years just after he posted it.

Zoë Fierro, from Northampton, opened the thank you notice from Ronald Smith, from Long Buckby, who died in 1999.

The 44-yr-old was left in tears and it “absolutely threw” her as she recognised his handwriting straight absent.

“It feels like a real howdy from him, ‘hi I am nonetheless around, every little thing is good’,” she reported.

When the letter, that had a 2nd class stamp on it, arrived on Tuesday, “I noticed the handwriting and considered umm that appears to be like my grandfather’s composing,” she claimed.

As he died 21 yrs in the past she was still left impressed and imagined ‘it are unable to be grandad’s producing, is anyone taking part in a joke?’.

She skipped correct to the stop to verify and it was signed ‘love from grandad’.

It was a thank you letter, it was posted in June 1998 a several months right after Mr Smith’s birthday in Could.

It was franked 4 June 1998, Northamptonshire, and was posted about 11 miles (18km) away from Long Buckby, she stated.
