Whistler has become one of the most popular skiing destinations in the world, and rightfully so. Located just 90 minutes outside of Vancouver, the peaks of Whistler Blackcomb dominate the views of this gorgeous town.

However, if you’re a danger to yourself (or others) when handling a pair of skis or a snowboard, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t still be able to have a good time. Here are some fun things you can do in and around Whistler Village.

Make your way to the quaint, hippie-ish Whistler Museum and you’ll soon discover that this ski town is chockfull of history. From learning about the fun-loving ski bums who founded the village to the beautiful wildlife to how the town won the bid for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, there’s a lot to discover about this beautiful place. The museum is small enough (it’s essentially located in a trailer-like building) that you can just stop by for an hour or two.
