Katy Perry is using her experience as a Super Bowl performer to help motivate this year’s musical guests Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. Perry tweeted on Feb. 2 a special message to the duo, set to take the stage at Super Bowl 2020 in Miami on Sunday.
“YOU GOT THIS @JLo & @Shakira,” the Fireworks singer, who performed at Super Bowl XLIX surrounded by internet breaking sharks, said to her fellow female hitmakers.
Lopez responded to Perry with three heart emojis, one red, white, and one blue.
And the Puerto Rican and Colombian superstars are ready to unleash their talent on the world, as the takes a break from cheering for the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs. There are even rumors that other big named talent could join them, including Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Ricky Martin, and Gloria Estefan.
Adding to the pressure is Lady Gaga, also an alum of the Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show. She reportedly shouted out, “I better hear no lip-syncing tomorrow!” while performing on Saturday at a pre-Super Bowl party. According to Deadline, she did try to walk back her comments opting to wish everyone luck instead.
“I wish so much love and so much luck to everyone that’s doing the halftime show, to both the teams that are playing each other in the Super Bowl,” she told the crowd. “They’re all champions.”
Kick-off to Super Bowl 2020 is at 6:30pm E.T. and can be watched live on Fox.
